Speech For The Lovers

I had this speech when I was in 3rd year college in our speech class. All these ideas were inspired by the articles I read, put them together and this was the result.

Ladies and gentleman, good evening. I who is in front of you will now speak about different things in a relationship. I know almost all of us here are already in a relationship, although not all but at least some had experienced once, twice or more. Who are you going to chose if you love two different people at the same time? Is it love if you make and ask for promises? These are the questions that comes into my mind and found the answers coming from different sources. Tonight, I will be very glad to share with you everything I know which will open your eyes and heart to realize that loving and to be loved is not that easy, is not a game.

                                               

If you find yourself in love with someone who does not love you, be gentle with yourself. There is nothing wrong with you. One author said that love just didn't choose to rest in the other person’s heart. Remember that you don't choose love. Love chooses you. All you can really do is accept it for all its mystery when it comes into your life. You can only embrace it when it arrives and give it away when it comes to you. But if it chooses to leave from your heart or from the heart of your lover, there is nothing you can do and there is nothing you should do. We all forgot that the secret of love is that it is a gift, and that it can be made to grow only by giving it away. Give it back to the person who brought it alive in you. Now if you find someone else in love with you and you don't love them, feel honored that love came and called at your door, but gently refuse the gift you cannot return. Do not take advantage my friends, do not cause pain.

            

Now, if there’s one of you here loving two different persons at the same time then ask your self this question honestly. When you are happy, which of the two would you want to share your happiness with? The one you think of is someone you love. Ask yourself another question and answer it honestly. “When you are sad, which person you want to share your burdens with?" The one you think of is also someone you love. Confused? Well, If you think of the same person when you are happy & sad, that's the most perfect. But if you don't think of the same person, I would advise you to choose the one you are willing to share your sadness with. Why? Because In life my friends, there are more sorrows than happiness. There are too many people that you meet that you can share your happiness with, not necessary your lover. And if you live your life happily, you can also enjoy it alone. If you are willing to tell someone your happiness, I am sure that person has got to be someone close & an understanding person to you. But in sadness, however, there are not many people willing to share your burdens with you, to stay by your side & ease your pain. If I were that person who you want to share your burdens with, only then, will I believe that I hold a very important position in your heart. Now if you are sad, who comes to your mind first?

            

When two people are in love, They both love to ask each other to swear, to make promises. Why do they ask each other to swear and promise? Because they don't trust each other. Yes, they don't trust their lover. These swear and promises are useless;

Till the sky falls, till the ocean dry, my love for u will never change! We all know that the sky will never fall; the ocean will never dry, Even if it does, are we still alive by

then? Be careful when making promises; don't make promises that you cannot keep.

Swear by things that can never happen, because it can never happen. In a relationship, what you say is one thing, but what you do is another.

Before having a relationship lovers should know that it would still end. Yes, relationship ends, and there were only two reasons for it; it may be death or a change of heart. No person will purposely have a change of heart. At the point in time when a person loves u, he/she really loves you, and can't even pretend that he/she doesn't. Same goes, when that person loves you no more, there's no way he/she can pretend he/she loves you. But when that person doesn't love you anymore, he really doesn't love you anymore. And if that person wants to leave, you must ask yourself if you still love them, if you don’t, do not keep them just to save your pride. Do not stop them from being happy to another persons arms. If you stop them from finding true happiness with the one they love, it shows you already don't love them. And if you don't love that person, what rights do you have to blame them for a change of heart?

           

When you are in love you cannot count all the reasons why you love. An author said, Yet regardless if you love them, hate them, wish they would die or know that you would die without them... it matters not. Because once in your life, whatever they were to the world they become everything to you. When you look them in the eyes, traveling to the depths of their souls and you say a million things without trace of a sound, you know that your own life is inevitable consumed within the rhythmic beatings of your lovers very heart. We love them for a million reasons, and I truly believe that no paper would do it justice. It is a thing not of the mind but of the heart. A feeling. Only felt.
